How to become a Member
 

Agra Club Limited is a registered company under the Indian Companies Act 1913. As per the bye laws of the company the members of the company shall consist of

  1. All persons who shall become members of the company by election by ballot and or other manner laid hereafter in accordance with the articles.
  2. Ladies shall be eligible for membership of the Company in their own rights subject to the condition laid down in article (a) above and as prescribed by the Managing committee from time to time
  3. Any member duly elected shall be eligible for life membership on payment of Rs. 5,000/- in lump sum or as determined by the managing committee from time to time besides entrance donation. Such members shall be exempted from payment of monthly membership subscription
  4. At the discretion of the Managing Committee, a Company registered under the Companies Act may be admitted to the membership on payment of an entrance donation which shsll be twice that of a permanent civilian member. Such Companies can then nominate its top Executive for the use and enjoyment of club facilities. Such nominees shall not have to undergo the processes of election by Ballot and will cease to be member of the Club on his/her transfer/posting out of Agra. They will also pay the normal monthly subscription and other charges and shall have all right and privileges of an ordinary member except the right of vote.
  5. It is hereby clarified that the membership of the Company shall consist of eight categories namely
  1. Permanent Civilian members.
  2. Permanent members belonging to Army, Navy and Air Force
  3. Permanent members belonging to Civil Services of Central and State Governments (Drawing not less than Rs. 1000/- per month as basic salary)
  4. Temporary members belonging to Army, Navy, Air Force and those officers of Civil Services of Central and State Governments (Drawing not less than Rs. 1000/- per month as basic salary.
  5. Temporary Civilian members.
  6. Honorary Members.
  7. Members as mentioned under Article (c) & (d)
  8. Temporary members belonging to Public Undertaking & Statutory Bodies (Drawing not less than Rs. 1,500/- per month as basic salary)
  1. The number of permanent members from the Army, Navy, Air Force and Civil Services who come under categories 2 & 3 as mentioned in Article (e) shall not exceed the number of the Civilian permanent members who come under category 1 as mentioned under Article 4 (e)

Provided firstly that ratio of permanent members from categories 2 & 3 as mentioned under Article (e) shall be as under:-

  1. Army- 40% of the total strength of the Civilian permanent members.
  2. Air Force- 40% of the total strength of the Civilian permanent members.
  3. Civil Services- 20% of the total strength of the Civilian permanent members.
